2. Alexander Radulov - (Realistically) Montreal; 4 Years @ 6.5M + NMC. (Cause this is for fun) Minnesota Wild; 5 Years @ 6.25M + NMC

14. Mike Fisher - You know its a bad free agent class when 14 and 15 have relatively good betting odds of retiring, BUT... Nashville; 1 Year @ 1.4M

Pretty solid predictions! I agree with most of them.

Few that I could see being different:

Shattenkirk - New York Rangers 6yr - 6.5 mill (hometown discount) if he wants the cash New Jersey 6yr - 7.75 mill
Radulov - Montreal 5 yrs - 5 mill cap hit - front loaded contract
Alzner - Dallas 4yrs - 4.5 mill

I think you guys might be underselling the leverage Karl Alzner has. He's the 2nd best D-man out there, right? I can easily see over-payment coming here. Brooks Oprik got $5.5M AAV for 5 years at the age of 34 (!), so Alzner at 29 could easily get the same or maybe even more from someone. Of course it's possible GMs are smarter these days but are they really? I mean, all of them? You just need one of them to make a big mistake.

JP - you make a very good point. Its a lot to expect all 30... 31 GM's to be smarter with their money than they were a few years ago. Cap trends should give them a little more discipline, but the teams who need him are going to have a hard time paying him that coin. Tampa - no. Dallas.. maybe... if they work some cap magic. Toronto - ??. I was thinking if Ottawa loses Methot...

Dan Giradi is being bought out. Takes some leverage (not a lot) away from Alzner.

Great list olafson - props (& REP) to anybody that spends a lot of time to make a list (only to probably get criticism...)

My top FA signings:

1. Shattenkirk to DET. 7yr x $8m. Yes 8. The Wings have absolute shit for D. They've got a new arena (Little Caesars) ready to rock in downtown Detroit to start the 2017-2018 season... and Illitch is going to spend to be a winner in that new venue.
The city/owner just spent $800m+ on that arena... so they are willing to overspend. [*Note: Mike Green has just 1yr left]
2. Radulov to WAS. 5yr x $6.2m. Gonna sign to play with Ovechkin, Kuz, Orlov on the Russian Machine.
3. Alzner to VAN. 6yr x $5.6m. Going home to BC.

Thornton & Marleau both will sign in Vegas... baby.
Elliott wil be re-signed by CGY, really really good calendar 2017 for him there.
Oshie to Minnesota to play with fellow US-men Parise & Suter.
Hanzal to the Rangers (after they lose out on bids to sign all the top UFAs & after they lose Lindberg to Vegas expansion).

@P7, this was like a ton of arenas tho. Looks almost like it’s just the bolt ons now to say with a broad paint brush.

My dad worked on the SkyDome (ACC too) and his company was still doing the clubhouses and non-fan rooms when they opened for the first season. Funny story, the Jays were so untidy (chewing tobacco just spat on the floor, and would just drop half full drinks), his company said if they don’t keep it clean they’re walking out due to slip hazards.
