Having a hard time picking between:

Carlson
Ghost
Peitrangelo
Typically I carry over two defense but I have more depth on D this season than in the past. I am leaning towards sacrificing on of my forward players (Stepan) to accommodate a 3rd D-Man.
Thoughts?

Thanks! I am conflicted between Carlson and Ghost. Both have the potential to have great bounce back seasons.

Think I go Letang, Werenski, Carlson. Though wouldn't blame you for taking Ghost over Carlson.

I agree with above sentiment. I probably take Carlson (higher floor IMO) over Ghost (higher ceiling IMO) if I have a few 'high-risk' players to manage risk. Not sure about the rest of your roster but I would qualify Letang and Werenski as players with risk.

You say that this is for standard Yahoo cats but do you count hits? Typically, they aren't there by default I believe. Also, do you have PPP or PPG and PPA? Based on this, I may swing that third spot in favour of Gostisbehere but as it stands, I'm keeping Carlson there if you count hits and just PPP.

Then Carlson is your guy IMO. He will outhit Ghost by 30+ HITS (he didn't hit much last year but I'm thinking he wasn't at 100%... look for something closer to a hit per game whereas Ghost is more in the .5/hpg). He should also have a way better +/- than Gostisbehere (Ghost won't be as bad as last year but it will still be far from Carlson's number). Lastly, the PPP: I'm thinking Ghost will score close to 10 goals on the PP (last year's 2 were way lower than his 8 the previous year) but that his overall PP numbers will be similar to Carlson's (assist heavy) since Provorov is bound to eat up some PP time come next year.
