I think the Preds are the better team. I give it 6 games.

    Interesting series:
Elite top 4 d (NSH) vs a mishmash d core who really shouldn't be this good (PIT)
Weak centres (NSH) vs Elite two centres (PIT)
Drop off in winger quality (NSH) vs less drop off in winger skill (PIT)
Old Goalie playing over his head (NSH) vs Young goalie playing well (Pit)

I do not know who to pick. Defense goes to NSH, Forwards go to PENS, Goaltending could be even or swing the series for either team.
I think I have $ on Nashville so I will pick them in 7, because I will love showing Habs fans who liked the trade that PK has a Stanley Cup

Maybe, but Nashville has the Subban edge if it goes to a Karayoke showdown.

Tough to say, but I would give the edge to Laviolette. It seems like he's been able to get his teams to adapt to any style he needs to over the years.

Honestly have no idea who wins this.

Think it's going to be a fun and exciting series either way.

Players on both sides I can get behind winning, just looking forward to watching an exciting SCF.

Strange to think that Matt Murray could win the Stanley Cup twice as a "rookie".

I won't lie, a part of me wants Fleury to get back in there and win it for them.

Calling my shot that whoever wins game 1 will win the series. I think it will tell us a lot of how this series will go.

I'm with you on that Axe.

I also wonder if statistically, any other rookie has won it twice.... Crazy if it happens.

I was saying to a friend earlier today that game 1 is going to be big. Nashville has won all three game 1s so far on the road. If they pull it off then Pitt will be in tough to beat them in Smashville (only one loss there so far this postseason). That being said, Pittsburgh has looked just as good at home as on the road this season, so I wouldn't put it past them to bounce back from a game 1 loss.
A game 1 win for Pitt could end up leading to a home split all the way to game 7, and once game 7 hits, all bets are off.
