Have been offered this trade for my Ovi and Trouba - League cat's are: 1 pnt for G,A and 0.2 pts for PIMs and +/1, 0.1 pts for shots; start 6 forwards and 4 d, 7 bench.
I am in no situation to compete this coming season (right now at least), and I would like to get younger. Is Dubois enough to make this trade "fair" or am I out to lunch here?
Thanks!

Given that your league doesn't use blocks or hits I would say Drouin for Trouba is a big swing your way but I thin you can get a bunch more for Ovi if you're selling. I like the idea of selling on him while he's still productive, but I think you should be able to get a legitimate "now" asset back as well as Drouin. If this guy isn't offering up anything don't be afraid to explore other GMs to see what they'll offer. In a SOG league Ovi is worth more than straight pts.

i wouldn't be selling ovie now, even if you are rebuilding. au contraire, now is the time to try and acquire him. people are making too big a deal over his "decline". he'll be better next year, and then you can sell high.
the same thing happened a few years ago - he had one rough season and everyone was bailing on him. I traded for him then (more or less traded perry for ovie after perry's hart trophy season, although there were other parts to the deal) and there would have been no other time to get him afterwards.
he isn't old yet, and he could very easily hit 40 goals again next year. after that i'd start thinking about trading him.
Thanks everyone! I'm going to see what he's willing to add and as suggested do some shopping around. Lot's of offseason time

I wouldn't even counter - and I'd tell him he's too far off to bother doing so.

I want more with Trouba as the second piece, the other owner knows his true value so make him pay for it.
