Default Nolan Patrick or any of these player

    Hi everyone,
I know he haven't play 1 NHL game but only base on potentiel is there any chance that Nolan Patrick will be better than any of these guy - Huberdeau, Monahan, Johansen or Pastrnak in a keeper, point-only with no position.

I know that next year and the year after probably all of them will produce more than Patrick. I'm thinking in 3-4 years when they should all have reach their potentiel. I also know that the list of player is proven and Patrick is not.

I just want to have your evaluation, even though it may only be speculation.

    Thanks

If nothing else, he'll have the value and hype surrounding having been a recent top two pick, and for at least a few years that will be worth something. But if you're talking straight performance, don't forget that each of the other players you mentioned is locked into top ES and PP time and at least three of their teams are considered very good or on the rise. I'm more of a bird in the hand fan, so I'd probably run with any of those four over Patrick, although if you're asking me which of them is the one most likely to have his output surpassed by Patrick I'd probably say Monahan.

I would take all of those 4 over Patrick. It is just too tough to judge what he could be with his injury history

The only one I am not sold on from your list is Huberdeau but I can see him and Patrick washing out close.

I'd maybe take Patrick over Monahan longterm, but they'll be similar players and SM is already doing his thing next to Gaudreau.

Patrick is a lot more Bo Horvat than Ryan Getzlaf.

^^ Not a fan of Pasta's 70 points in 75 games as a 20 year old? I'm not sure we see Patrick break 70 in his prime.

I think Id be willing to bet that Pastrnak won't see 70 points again for a couple seasons.

    At production peaks:

    Pasta

    Johanson
    Patrick - Hubs - Monahan

I just think Pasta's at another level offensively. Johanson's declining SOG totals are scary for high end production.

    No internets knowing-ness?

I remember That Who Should Not Be Named (/Big Ev) paid his bet on Stone with me without knowing each other and he didn't even have to.

Perhaps if I win you have to change your profile picture to a picture of my choosing and visa-versa?

    WTF copy.jpg

I wouldn't chance it for any of those 4.

Patrick is not Auston Matthews or Laine who we KNEW was going to be a huge deal. He is a guy you hope gets to their level
