Agreed. I see what you're saying. I don't think it's a bad matchup either way. They're just facing a hot cohesive unit that has a ton going for them right now

1 of those 1 goal games didn't have Letang. The other game did. The other game they had Letang Pittsburgh scored 8 goals. Be really tough for the Sens to even make the playoffs, let along the third round, without Karlsson.

In fact Pittsburgh has only played 1 game against Ottawa with a fully healthy top 6 D (Letang, Daley, Schultz, Dumoulon, Maatta, Cole), and coincidentally it was the game they scored 8 goals against them. How curious.
I knew Letang was out when I made my bet for the Sens to win the East way back on April 12th. Boston, NY and Pittsburgh...the Sens couldn't have scripted an easier path to the Cup finals. Now, as you said, go out and play the game the way Coach Boucher wants and prove my love and knowledge of the Sens correct.

You did also however just say healthy or not. Was really all I was getting at.

As an aside, I think the Johansen news just sealed the cup for the Eastern conference, which I now expect to be Ottawa. I do not think the Pens can overcome the injuries, fatigue, and Sens structured defensive zone system.

And I believe that; healthy or not. But if you just want to play the Letang game, one game they had him the Pens won 8-5, the other the Pens lost 4-1. 9 goals per team, home team won both games. Everything else is almost the same too. PP goals, even strength, everything. Pittsburgh had a penalty shot goal. I see nothing when playing Pittsburgh (with Letang and definitely not without), the make people believe this series what what the poll above, experts and everybody decided was a cake-walk for Pittsburgh. Ottawa has the system and players that make these playoffs 3 for 3 for dream matchups thus far.

Lots of series left. Nothing has been accomplished yet.

sure wish they went with Fluery. Guy's been their mvp and been very hot for the past 6 weeks and bounced back big time last time he got lit up. All in all they have to play good tonight either way. Go pens!

ruhwedel gets wrecked and sens get the powerplay, refs are definitely favoring pittsburgh right?

thought there was going to be a call there for sure but the refs missed the penalty on karlsson earlier so it evened out. the refs need to be more consistent though

What a complete joke these refs are.

Forget about the 6 individual calls they missed, but can anyone that follows hockey explain why the whistle was blown with Ceci walking in with the puck while Pittsburgh finally took their first penalty?

I feel like turning the game off. I already know the result.
