Points only league!!
I got one keeper spot available. And I can't decide whether to keep Subban Hamilton or Klingberg.
Points only league!!
What are the stats/categories you use?
Assuming standard cats, I'd want Subban. All three are great options, but to me Subban has a higher offensive ceiling than Hamilton and a higher floor, and Klingberg just isn't a very good multi-cat option.
Admittedly Subban had a down year offensively this past season (while adjusting to his new team), but he still had a better ppg than the other two:
Subban - 0.66 (would have been 54 pts in 82 games)
Hamilton - 0.61
Klingberg - 0.60
Hamilton is a good multi-cat option, but I don't expect him to repeat his point totals.
If this league is "points-only", maybe Klingberg is a better option because assuming Seguin and Benn have better years next year, Klingberg could get to the 70 pt mark. Again, he isn't an option in a mulit-cat league.

ok, I see that you update the post as I was replying...considering this is a point-only league, I'd go with Klingberg.

I go with Subban here... he had a rough start to his time in a new city... most players do take a while to score...
And Subban had a better second half and is playing well in playoffs... could get back to his 70 point potential next year!

not to be too picky, but penguinhunter said that he could get back to his "70 point POTENTIAL". subban has 70 point potential in Nashville, and watching them play the other night against st louis, you can definitely see how it is possible. not likely, but possible. Nashville plays a much more offensive game than montreal does.
i'd take subban over klingberg and Hamilton.
I pitted Klingberg and Hamilton against each other in a recent cave match, so I suggest you check that out. Link in my sig.

and that's what I was being picky about...how can you say someone has 70 pt potential when they have only ever scored over 60 pts once in 8 years of NHL hockey? I think potential is a bit over-rated. Yes, Subban might get 70+ pts, but history is a more important indicator than potential.
also, as to your statement about Nashville having a "much more" offensive game than Montreal does...Nashville scored a total of 15 more goals than Montreal last year. (The year before, the different was 8 goals). Even if Subban is in on half of those goals, he wouldn't get to 70 pts, and you had those to his current career high, he doesn't get to 70 pts.
I'm just trying to be realistic. If Subban hasn't surpassed 70 pts in 8 years in the NHL, he might do it once before he is done, but I wouldn't get too excited about his "potential".
Anyway, not saying that Subban is a bad choice...I'm just suggesting a more cautious approach to expectations.

I can't seem to edit my post...but I poorly-worded this statement:
Even if Subban is in on half of those goals, he wouldn't get to 70 pts, and you had those to his current career high, he doesn't get to 70 pts.
I should have typed:
Even if Subban is in on half of those goals, and you add those to his current career high, he doesn't get to 70 pts.

70 point Dmen are a rare thing and PK isnt a 70pt Dman. Potential is a great beer drinking topic but thats about it for me.
That being said I do prefer PK here but all three of these guys are going to be close most seasons if they stay healthy.
