Forsling future potential

Curious what everyone thinks is the future projection for Forsling?

Next 1-3 years and also longer term potential?

Before this season, I would have said that he's an underrated prospect that could become a real gem. His production is a little disappointing under those circumstances. His skating is not great, which has me flashing back to Rundblad and his standout play at the SEL level. I believe that Forsling is one of the highest scoring defenseman of all-time among U20 seasons. I like his creativity and vision, but it's a wait and see kind of scenario.

I don't see huge potential here. More of a secondary scorer type.

Forsling definitely has top 4 potential. His vision and patience with the puck is outstanding for a 20-year old in his first NHL action. He runs the power play well and gets a lot of his shots through from the point. I could see him replacing Keith on the PP sooner than later. (I have always thought Keith is the biggest reason for the Blackhawks underachieving PP.)

I think he'll play the majority of next season in the NHL. The Hawks have nothing coming in the minors other than Forsling and Pokka even though his stock has dropped in the last 2 years.
