I'd counter by taking out the pick. I am not sure you should have to add a 2nd round pick with Buchnevich to get Schwartz.
theres interest in my buchnevich. been offered schwartz for buch and a 2nd round rookie pick......i take this right? better to go with the proven over the unknown or is buch a cant miss prospect......thoughts

I would take Schwartz. Btw i'm a Rangers fan, who own Schwartz. he is definitely the best piece in the deal.
Schwartz' side for me. As Axe said, if you can avoid sending the pick the other way, by all means go for it (maybe counter with a higher pick at worst).
If the opposing manager insists on getting the 2nd, I'd be OK with it.
However, looks like you would need to drop a player to keep Schwartz as Buchnevich does not look to be part of your 13 keeper (under 120 games played). Does that mean that you would have to drop another player if you get Schwartz??

If you do... I pass. Buch could = Schwartz next year, I'd only do this 1-1 - without the pick. If you have to move another player to add Schwartz, NO THANKS. keep the free player

id have to move another keeper in order to keep schwartz...but i would be looking at upgrading a rw by packaging a 2 guys for one.....lw is hard to come by.....buch has been moved to rw in our league as well

Hmm, depends on what you move and what you get. If you are going to make another move and lose that deal just to make room for Schwartz, I,d stand pat with Buch. If you make another move and ''win it'' then I would most likely prefer to add Schwartz over Buchnevich

I find the Rangers depth up front off putting TBH so have no issues with this deal as a stand alone but if there are other moving pieces I'd want to see them first
Experience is the teacher of all things.
St. Louis has lots of depth up front, Tank is still Tank, not a comparison of players - Buch to Tank, but if the talent is there, Buch will blow through the depth. Either way, you get to keep 13 players period.
IMO.. keep Buch, try to make deal for a LW keeper AFTER your draft when you've got supplementary players to put into the deal. By holding Buch, essentially, you're keeping 14, as he will be a full time NHL player next year.
The only one valuing Buch is the Schwartz owner.... now why would he want him and a pick for a 60pt F? He thinks he's winning the deal. Meaning he has Buch > Schwartz

Do it, Buchnevich has to fill out substantially still to become a real force in this league, at this point he is too small and perimeter player.

oh for sure he is a skilled player but not to there level, I hope you are not taking anything I said wrong way cannot convey tone of voice here. His skating needs big improvement a la Tavares when he entered the league. I really do not know how to project the kid he certainly lost stamina this season as expected coming to the grueling NHL sched from Russia. He has serious vision no doubt about it and a hard shot just needs to as you say put in the work in the summer. But he seriously needs fifteen pounds of muscle to really achieve.

I'm caught on the fence. Schwartz has proven himself given the correct deployment. But from someone who stuck with him all season, injury's to Fabbri & Stastny are what led to his heavier usage.
