I see Giroux had 31 PPP last year and Scheif only 15 (shocking). But Laine had only 14.
Meanwhile Scheif had 82 total points, Giroux only 58.
Giroux is steadily declining. Scheif is ascending. Giroux has less talent around him, Scheif more next year. What happens if Giroux's decline continues and Scheif improves? Scheif 5 years younger and just approaching prime years.
OK, I do have a thought. Long term, Scheif for "maybe" short term pain, long term gain. Giroux for short term gain, long term pain. Longer term, like everyone else here, I'm taking Scheif..unless PP points are so valuable in YOUR league that Giroux outscored Scheif by a ridiculously large amount last year.

Scheifele got 82 points with only 15 on the pp. That's remarkable. I'd bet a paycheque he gets more than 15ppp next season.

oh im sure he will but more then giroux no his shot total scares me cuz the shooting percentage just shows he will not get 32 goals again its almost impossible hes gonna have to get 200 shots or more for that to happen with all that talent esp laine i dunno how he gets 200 plus shots

I think you're a bit too focused on shot total... here's a stat line for you, 86, 73, 67, 57
girouxs point totals over the last four seasons. How many players can sustain over 50% of their entire point total on the PP!?
Odds are you can redraft giroux in the 1st couple of rounds but scheifele won't make it into the 2nd. Keeping giroux, regardless of his PP output this year over scheif. Will be a mistake... IMO

Even tavares isn't hitting 80pts per season, you should be sold on him being a 75pt player. That's a nice cushion to sit on
