It's gonna be F'n hot to play outdoor football in Vegas lol
The NFL voted 31-1 today to allow the Raiders to move to Las Vegas starting in 2020.
Vegas is going to experience a nice bump on home games each year I'd expect. Also good for the NHL as it legitimises the idea that pro sports can work in Las Vegas.
Probably going to be awkward for the Raiders since they still have at least 2 more years in Oakland (they have 2- one year options for their current stadium) and then need to make a plan for 2019.

Glad the NHL got in there first. Hopefully they can get a nice foothold before the NFL moves over.
Wow.... I can't wait for a Vegas trip in November 2020.... hopefully the Golden Knights are competitive by then and the Raiders are still competitive.
Bachelor parties to Vegas just got even better!!

The arena won’t open in LV till 2020 likley, so I guess he can still come back as the last yrs of the Oakland Raiders, but he’d come back to do the city good with his charities and his hometown. I just can’t see an emotion driven Lynch coming back to a management group who’s leaving the city

Who is the 1? That's what I want to know. I thought maybe it was Oakland themselves in hoping to look good for the current fan base that they were trying to keep the team for them.
But I heard from a guy at work that he heard it was Miami... why would Miami vote against it? ?
Dolphins voted against it.
Maybe travel distance, and not wanting his players in LV. Maybe he knows how money grabby the NFL is. Remember when they fined or did somethign to Romo when he wanted to hold his Fantasy Football league in a Hotel in Vegas. NFL didnt like it because it associated with gambling, but now they move a team to the city.
But his real reason he said was:
In a statement after the 31-1 vote, Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross indicated he didn't feel the Raiders had met the relocation criteria by doing all they could to find a workable solution to stay in the Bay Area.

Who's selling Raiders tickets in 2018? Should be fun...
@SmittysRant
It pisses me off that Las Vegas is going to spend $750 million on the stadium. WHY?? Let these billionaires build their own stadiums. I heard something along the lines that since the 90s, cities have spent nearly 4 and half BILLION dollars in stadiums for NFL teams. Most states and cities are having all sorts of financial problems yet they find money for these major league sports teams. This needs to stop.

Colour me shocked and wrong.
Lynch has reportedly agreed to a $3 million base contract for 2017, which includes incentives that could earn him as much as $8.5 million. As part of the contract, Lynch will receive $2 million if he runs for more than 1,000 yards this season.
