    Default Reimer

I am in a 12-team H2H league with G, A, PPP, SHP, +/-, SOG, PIM, W, GAA, SV%, and SHO as categories. I am trying to rebuild and offering Reimer to serious contenders. The main GM who is interested has a loaded team. Some of the pieces of interest that he might move:

    Ryan O'Reilly
    Rickard Rackell
    Mark Stone
    Brendan Gallagher
    Tomas Hertl
    Zach Smith
    Tanner Pearson

    Nick Schmaltz
    Alexander Nylander
    Daniel Sprong
1st round pick in 2017 prospect draft (11th or 12th OA)

What should I ask in return? Ideally I need upgrades on the wing but anything is good for my team.

    Thanks.

Stone straight up would be great for you. Or even try adding a small piece.
If you can't pry him away, then aim for Nylander.

He does not want to move Stone. And you and I are on the same page because I asked for Nylander + his 1st round pick and he thought that was not even close.

I don't think Reimer has loads of value, but at the same time, there's no point in just giving him away. Nylander is a fine ask, and if he thinks that's too much, then that's that.

Nylander + the first I can see being too much, but I agree with Kofax I would even be fine getting Nylander straight up for him.

Nylander for Reimer 1-1... if Alex were offered to me for Reimer I'm snatching it up. Since he's not a #1G, I'd also be willing to move him 1-1 for Rakell, Hertl or as a last resort, Sprong.

Reimer will almost certainly be a backup - at best a 1b guy. Limited value - take what you can get.

I guess you guys are lower on Reiner than I am. Lu is on his last legs and Reimer is signed for another 4 years. He is a #1 goalie right now and definitely next year. He has 2.08 GAA with 0.936 SV% since Mid-December. Of course wins have been hard to change me by but I expect Florida to be better next year.

    i really appreciate the responses.

He's not a starting goalie until he's a starting goalie. Right now he's still a backup on a team who's starter is injured. Once he is taking the majority of the starts while Luongo is healthy, then ya, he's a starter and you can expect more for him.

Which is also a fine approach. No point in selling him for a minor return right now if you expect him to be far more valuable down the road. You'll just have to wait, as I don't think many will agree with you and pay a price you deem fair right now.

if others see Reimer as a starter next year then he's going to be their buy low target. I think Fla protects Reimer & exposes Lu but LV takes a different G. Leaving Lu as #1 next year.
