Default Samuel Girard & Igor Shestyorkin

Hoping to pick some of your brains. In a dynasty salary keeper league, right now I have Samuel Girard in my MLP (minor league player bench) along with 4 other MLP players - Kaprizov, Sergachev, Steel, Gusev. Value those 4 more then Girard.

Question is, should I drop Girard and grab Shestyorkin? Only one other GM in my league seems to be on the ball for KHL players and he already owns Jusse Saros and Sorokin.
Good chance I can get Shestyorkin in my draft next year.
Take the chance, or just drop/trade Girard ASAP and get Igor on my team pronto?

Is Shestyorkin the real deal? Do I just have rose coloured glasses on in regards to Girard?

Thanks and appreciate your future input!

I think it's probably irrelevant. Both are 3-4 years away.

I don't think there's such a thing as a sure thing for prospects, but I definitely like Shestyorkin better. There's opportunity because Lundqvist is getting old, Shestyorkin plays in the KHL which is a men's league, and his numbers are elite in said league. Girard has a ton to prove to prove he's a legit prospect.

On a side note, your bench looks great. Kaprizov is the best KHL prospect in the world, Steel is an underrated draft steal that's lighting it up big in the WHL, and Gusev is probably the 2nd best KHL prospect in the world. I hope he crosses over next year and joins his childhood best friend in Kucherov in Tampa.

Personally I value Shestyorkin higher than Steel or Gusev even, so dropping Girard for him would be an easy decision for me. Shestyorkin is an elite goalie prospect. That doesn't mean he's a sure thing because no one is but he has very high chance of becoming an NHL starter in a few years.
