Default Panarin for Drouin + Toffoli

I was offered Panarin and a 2nd rounder for my Drouin + Toffoli + 5th rounder in my keeper league.

It's not bad, but I think it's a pass. I have Kane and that makes Bread Man more attractive but maybe not enough. What do you think about this?

    Thanks

You get the best player and the better pick. With or without Kane I'm hitting accept.

If it's the team in signature you already have RW covered so I don't see toffoli as much of a loss at all.

Even in a keeper league? I dunno, I might lose Toffoli for nothing but I think Drouin will have more value than Panarin in 2 years. I will consider it though. Thanks for advice.

Yes even in a keeper league. Panarin is on pace for his 2nd straight 70+ point season, plays on one of the best teams in the league on a top line, and is only 25.

Drouin is having a breakout year with lots of question marks still looming. Hes only 21.

Panarin is coming into his prime and is already a 70 point guy while Drouin is still figuring out how to play in the NHL. Don't get caught looking too far into the future in fantasy hockey. Look 2-3 years ahead (max).

Dobber currently has panarin ranked at no 16 in a keeper league and Drouin is no 47. Pretty much bang on if you ask me.

You have a chance to get a top 20 keeper, don't let this one slip through your fingers.

I could write a long winded response, but basically doubling down on everything MZac said. Panarin is a few years older but he is already showing that he is currently what you hope Drouin will become. I love keeping lots of potential on my team and feeling smart when it works out but I would do this deal no question, Panarin's floor in his two seasons is what you are hoping Drouin gets to.

Drouin is always a weird one for me as I think he is at his best when the Lightning's top 6 is shallower (hence the work he is doing now with no Stamkos) truth is those forward lines could look really different next season so the potential to maintain this is still there but I do prefer Panarin - out of interest as its a 2 for 1 though what does that empty spot become?

That empty spot becomes Marners when he's back from IR. I also have Burakovsky on IR.

Ok, You are making MacZ..... I have a habit of looking very far in the future. It's worked more than it hasn't so I kept riding my luck. Maybe time to play it safe. Thanks!
