Everyone has probably already read this since it\'s on TSN, but since it wasn\'t in Dobber\'s ramblings I might as well throw it out that Crosby is nursing a groin injury and will sit out tonight\'s game as a precaution. It says he\'ll play on friday, but I\'m sure this makes Crosby owners a bit uneasy with the season not even started yet, no?

I never said crosby wasn\'t good, but I do say that he is not as good as everyone wants him to be (160 pts) he is going to be the next big bandaid, I bet you he won\'t make 60 games this year

He was not hampered by injuries during his first two NHL seasons. He wasn\'t injured in junior either.

dobber defines his upsides as a number that he would bet his house that the player never makes it to.
you can see then that an 80 point upside is nothing really to get excited about... for a forward, anyway.
all 160 points should tell you is how much respect dobber has for players like crosby and ovechkin.

no worries baumer, this is a good thing to know.
some people see a 115 point upside and then expect 115 points in the near future.
what that upside really means is that, given the absolutely perfect storm of a season, awesome linemates, little competition for icetime, on the ice for 75% of every PP, no off-ce distractions, yada yada yada... then that player might approach that upside but won\'t surpass it.
