    Default Rask/Werenski for Crawford/Shattenkirk

What do you think of this trade (for team in signature).

    Context:

    (1) His Crawford must be returned to the draft next season which means he has to declare either Mike Condon or Fred Andersen as his "keeper" goalie. Not great.

    (2) Rask can be declared a "keeper" goalie next year for three consecutive years.

I'm Basically trying to leverage Shattenkirk out of him on the basis that his goalie situation is so bad.

    Thoughts?

No, I wouldn't keep either beyond this season.

If I didn't make the trade Rask would go back into the draft.

I'd keep Holtby going into next year and it'd be the last season I could keep Holtby.

So the trade is basically Werenski for Shattenkirk long term and finishing the season with Rask or Crawford.

If you can keep Shattenkirk for as long as you would Werenski, I would do it. And Crawford stats should be better than Rask's to finish the year (but not by a lot).
