Default Letang - List of Injuries for the past 5 yaers

Found this interesting list in a recent Letang article on hockeywriters.

At least he's spreading it out across his entire body... that way each body part has time to heal before he reinjures it!

    Could play tomorrow.
Rotowire--Letang (knee) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's contest against the Predators.
Spin: Letang missed six straight games prior to the All-Star break due to the issue, but the offensive-minded blueliner's return appears just around the corner. Should he return to the ice Tuesday, it's grounds for immediately returning him to lineups and it may even be worth the risk in season-long formats that lock Monday with a good chance he at least plays Friday and Saturday if he can't go Tuesday. Letang should return to the power play upon his return to the lineup and remains a premier option at the position.

Lmao. I was gonna post in the injury thread that there should be a website dedicated solely to the health and status of Kristopher Letang. Something maybe themed like this - http://www.pksubbantracker.com/

And, as for the umpteenth time, it's almost shocking how a guy who developed a legendary reputation for dedication to strength and fitness could be so fragile. No luck either with that heart/stroke issue.

Letang is the classic case of over training.

I can't argue with the facts, but other guys train that hard without the same issues. Different sport, but Cristiano Ronaldo has the same type of reputation and has proven to be extremely durable.

Letang needs to spend a summer with Gary Roberts.

I am and have been heavily invested in him in fantasy hockey too. I woulda won all my league if he was as durable as as Marleau or Iggy.

If you look at it with any kind of empathy, its so horrible to imagine having all those injuries.

It's kind of amazing that he came back to play at such a high level after his stroke.

I’m sure he has worked with Gary Roberts because the last time I checked Gary was working for the Penguins in the season as their training coach, or nutritionist or something like that.

Exactly! The stroke in there.... you need strategy and creativity to balance injuries over your whole body like that :P

Another Penguin I always wonder "what if" when it comes to his health. If he could have stayed relatively healthy for his career, what kind of numbers would he be putting up... probably in the same echelon as Karlsson.

Sad to see all that misfortune. Have to wonder how many more injuries it takes for him to hang them up. He's only 30, but he's definitely not a guy I see playing into his late 30's. If I were him and I had my money made/saved/invested wisely and had all of these health concerns, retirement would 100% be running through my head.
