    I don't use yahoo for anything at all but I'm curious to see if this sale / re-branding affects any of you that use Yahoo ( which will now be called ) Altaba as a fantasy hockey platform.

    If they leave it the same, or put a little more effort into it then great. I would hate to see them mess with it in a negative way though.

    I thought Verizon just bought Yahoo?

    EDIT: Okay, I see. This article refers to the non-Internet portions of Yahoo which weren't purchased by Verizon.

    Yeah it's kind of confusing. Probably won't notice any changes but just something newsworthy I suppose.

    The portion of Yahoo that was not sold to Verizon is changing its name to Altbaba. This portion is going to become an investment company as it already owns 15% of Alibaba and 30% of Yahoo Japan. The internet and search stuff is all being sold to Verizon and is not changing its name any time soon.
