Question Landeskog - getting tired of waiting

Man the Avalanche stink. The +/- scoring in my league is killing any value Landeskog seems to have. I am looking at Parise, Zetterberg and Ghost Bear in free agency. All other options seem to be of the streaming variety (Koivu, Gagner, Seth Jones, etc.), not really the type of players I'd pick up for a player of this pedigree. Continue to stand pat?

I think I'd add Ghost Bear for Landy. It wouldn't hurt for you to have an extra d-man. Ghost Bear and Landy both have similar numbers (including poor plus/minus), but I think that Ghost Bear's has a better chance of improving because he plays for a better team.

I agree with Ian here. Landeskog is not someone I have too much patience for.

He's apparently playing through an injury which might explain his poor performance. That doesn't help you, but it might signal that this could be a long season for him. There's also the threat of him 'getting shut down' as many bottomfeeders do to their stars once the season is nearing the end.

I'd try to move him on for another buy low option.

Landeskog is killing me but I would have no issues dropping him for Ghost

Would it be shocking to say Landeskog was never an elite level offensive player as he was being treated by many, especially in dynasty type leagues.

Landeskog's value is mostly in his peripherals. Any higher end point totals are just gravy.

If your leagues have HITs I'd consider Landeskog a little more. Otherwise, I'd see if anyone still thinks he's as good as a player like Hall.

Realistically, I think players like Kreider, Huberdeau and Schenn are better options.

Josi has just hit the waiver wire. Ghost>Josi?
My league does count hits, but the +/- (clearly a metric serious poolies have no love for) chips away at everything.
Another thing about my league is that it is seriously trade-averse. I think I have seen a total of 10 trades in 3.3 seasons. Not a lot of chance of moving Landeskog for anything but I suppose I could try.

Long term I like Jose quite a lot more.

Also, Flyers have a lot of young D coming up that may hinder him. Could turn into a situation like Anaheim.

I like Jodi for sure. I also think Jodi is just a superior player. And nice blocks.

Josi. Damn autocorrect. Not Jose. I couldn't edit either.

Not sure why this thread's all messed up with those update lines.
If I were to pick up both Ghost and Josi (assuming my 6th waiver priority holds, it may not), then who do I drop aside from Landeskog? Trochek had a great first game replacing Barkov and Zetterberg's on fire. Backes's concussion is a little concerning but he would be my most droppable injured player (unless I have another C I'd keep over Stamkos...which I don't). Monahan was looking good for a while there but has been stinking it up - this upcoming soft schedule is his last chance to prove himself imho.

I might drop Backes. But I'm not that high on Monahan. I tried getting him in a few leagues. Wasn't happening. Then I just went out and payed a fraction of the cost forBo Horvat and have been rewarded in every league.

I no longer want Monahan. I also think once you get Galch back, you wont be in as much need at Center. Not sure about Trochek all season either.
