Yes Rask has been good, but so has Jones, and Jones is much younger. If you can do the deal without the goalies then I like it more.

It's not a bad offer. Depending on his need for D, he may take it, or he may ask for a little more.

Crow's entering elite category... Not only is Karlsson the #1 offensive Dman, he's also leading the NHL in blocked shots - or at least was a few days ago - so that just increases his value even more (if possible)

Karlsson is basically McDavid on D, just 26. I think he's more valuable than Ovie... you're also giving the higher draft pick and arguably the better goalie. I think this is an awful trade for you.

Karlsson needs to bring you back a ransom. Honestly, I would hesitate to move him for Ovie, Martinez, Rask by himself. I would definitely want a 50pt dman in return in anything I moved for EK. just to cover 60% of the void in my line up.

I would absolutely not offer this if I were you. Your keepers rock right now! I think you'd be downgrading (mostly because of Karlsson).

Having Karlsson and Burns as keepers, and on D, is a great start for a winning squad.

Look at all the talent on your team that aren't keepers... Tavares and now Scheifele are elite and could be keepers. Plus there's a ton of secondary scoring forwards available with only 50 total keepers. You even got Lundqvist for a second goalie.

Point is, there are easily available forwards that can make up for the other team losing OV with 10 forwards spots to start each night.
There aren't any D that can make up for losing Karlsson...unless you add 2.5-3 available D's stats together maybe.

If I were you I'd be holding on to Karlsson and Burns for the lifetime of that league, short of an crazy crazy offer.
Even still, with only 5 keepers, it would be tough to make a trade where you give up an elite Dman.

I was initially in the same boat as the rest, but after looking at his league and his cats, I think Ovechkin is the more valuable own here.

4C, 6W and 2UTI (likely forwards) vs 4D. That's essentially 12F to 4D making forward requirements much deeper.

His stats do favour Ovechkin a bit as well, as he puts up points and is a beast in SOG and Hits. Karlsson is strong here too, but lacks significantly in Hits.

The age is the only thing that gives me pause here. Based on the perspective here I think you should be able to have him sweeten the pot, especially if you include Jones. So I would either rejig the trade or listen to the rest and stand pat.

If you wanted to do this deal I'd prefer to move Burns...Burns does a lot fantastically hence it may still work but considering ages I'd rather keep Karlsson over him if I'm losing one
