I just received a very big trade offer in my 12 team keep 4 PPR league. I'm currently two games out of the playoffs and am chasing some pretty stacked teams. My roster looks like this.
QB: Cam
RB: Crowell, Coleman, Jennings, Perkins, Dixon, Prosise
WR: Green, Hopkins, D Thomas, M Thomas
TE: Brate, L Green
An owner I am behind in the standings has proposed the following:
My: AJ Green, M Thomas, Coleman
His: Gurley, Cooks, 1st round pick
At first I thought no chance. But now that I think about it: Gurley has a nice schedule to close the season and is still a top 3-5 RB keeper, Cooks is an upgrade over M Thomas in the Saints passing game plus a keeper and I get a 1st rpind pick out of it that could be better than the one I currently have.
Is this a trade that you'd make? Because to me it feels like a good move for this season and next.
I like this trade as long as you fully believe that Todd Gurley is not the next Trent Richardson.
But I do like the addition of 1st round pick... and you have Hopkins as a keeper at WR.
So it boils down to:
Gurley, Cooks, Hopkins, Cam and 2 - 1st round picks
vs
Green, Hopkins, Cam, D. Thomas 1 - first round pick
I like the first option better for your keepers for next year, and if you are out of playoffs then I would make the move and hope Gurley doesn't turn into Richardson.
