Giroux for a goalie? REP

I know there are tons of these but team 1 in sig I own MAF and the Murray owner is holding him tight (He said offer would start with Laine and likely add Helle LOL).

Gonna list a few sets of goalies other teams have in my league and if anyone has any suggestions with Giroux (or anyone else) rep will be given. The wire is dry except for like Raanta:

1. Talbot & Vasilevsky
2. Anderson, Luongo, Mrazek, Halak
3. Murray, Bob, Gibson

Who should I target

My #1 target on that list would be Luongo. Best value in a starting goalie and it looks like he's just starting to turn things around.

Gibson would be my second choice - struggling and with off-night starts when he eventually gets going it'll work out great for you. That being said it's the same guy who owns Murray so he probably knows you're a little desperado.

you better be getting a top 5 goalie in return. You do not undersell G...all of those cannot wear G's sock tape. I am talking a Schneider, Jones, Lundqvist, etc. You need a LW upgrade; find JVR owner and offer up a 1 for 1; Stepan perhaps.

Run with Lundqvist, MAF and on occasional Helly. I'd stick with what you have.

Yeah this is good advice. Sorry I totally glazed over the part where you said you were thinking of offering up Giroux for one of these guys and just started rambling about who would be good to target.

Lundqvist is doing great. MAF may be moving over a bit for Murray, but he will still get a good number of starts on a great team. Hell Boy seems to slowly be taking over the reigns for Winnipeg (4-1 in last 5), so you really are not looking that bad as you sit. Not sure what to do with Lehtonen. Dallas will start winning with more frequency once a few guys return from injury but you are still looking at a time share with Neimi. Might make more sense to add another skater....

What I think I am saying is don't overpay for a top tier goalie, but if you can get one at a fair price it would be worth considering.

Anyone reconsider this now that MAF is getting rocked?? I know I will probably wait til a trade but owning Ovie, Sid, Laine...trading Giroux for someone like Vas is might tempting.

The list of goalies I'd trade Giroux for is very short, and basically beyond Price & Holtby they come with issues.

Of the goalies you list, I'd see what Mrazek would cost, the value for cost should be reasonable. You can also see if the Murray owner wants Fleury in some package.

I agree that Giroux is too much to give for the goalies you listed. But of the groups you listed I like Talbot and Vas. Talbot is number one for an improving team. Vas will be getting 2 of 3 starts with a good team.
