You just have to learn to skip the fluff and get the stuff you need from those updates. Random example from Rotowire (not a bad one by any means):
Just skip all of the stuff in blue so you get the facts and not the opinions.
Horrible game by Steve Mason last night...compounded by the "insightful" remarks by whomever writes the updates for CBS (I swear, it's one kid in 10th grade that writes all of these updates for every site)...the guy says "be selective in when you start Mason"...really, if you can't start Mason at home against a struggling/on the road Coyote team, when exactly can you start him?

haha.... hindsight is always 20-20 but I agree.... that should have been the ideal spot start for him.
Can't win every time with the goalies. The good ones are good more often than bad, so play them as often as possible for more of the good.
Mason I'm continuing to start with confidence.
As for the writing, I feel like they don't have much of a screening process in terms of what gets published. I think that may be the biggest problem. We all have posts/sentences/moments we wish could have been screened before they were said/typed in a public place.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
CBS stinks - I ran into problems/annoyances constantly with them. Why haven't you moved to Fantrax yet???

I can't list my 2nd main keeper as there are too many players, but it is a keep all H2H points-only league
I know what you're saying and agree with it, but there is actually good information in this specific example. Avg of 4 SOG per game over 7 games and 1 G and 4 A is good to know for how a player is trending, whether he's not right now, consistent or cold.
I would read it all, laugh at the useless stuff, and pick out what is important
