in a keeper league i wouldn't deal him unless i was getting assets that guaranteed me a win this year that i would otherwise not get, PLUS someone like Matthews or Laine to offset fact McDavid will likely be getting 100+ a decade from now.

In a 2-for-1, it's key to think about who you're dropping. More info needed. It's a fair offer but might not be enough depending on the league cats and setup.

What the others said. If you peruse the threads here, you'll see how much of an overpayment has been needed to land McD. What you have is a starting point, but not something to accept.
