I would trade Mason for Elliott for sure, despite the slow start. In my head, I try not to consider Elliott's first two games with the Flames towards his stats. I think this will pay off for you down the road

- As I have been reminded on these forums [LINK] Neuvirth is too fragile to be a starting goalie.
- Calgary is coming off of a year where they had the worst GAA in the league. They jettisoned all of their keepers and their replacements have not fared much better. Until I see this isn't an institutional Flames (team) problem I am not sold on solid goalie numbers.
- Philly should be a better team than Calgary this season (in my opinion anyway).
- Mason has had some above average underlying numbers (a little help looking these up would be appreciated... I've run out of time and have to 'post' and continue with my day).

as bad as Calgary and Elliott have looked I gotta agree with the boss man. I own Elliott and wouldn't trade him for mason.

If your league favours volume stats trade Mason. Elliot will turn it around at least enough to solidify his starter role, and even if his efficiency stats aren't elite he'll get a lot of starts and saves and enough wins for you.

Is this a keeper league though as Helly may pay less dividends this year than Elliott when all is said and done...
