I can't list my 2nd main keeper as there are too many players, but it is a keep all H2H points-only league
To be fair we have not even played half a season yet
Didn't they just extend Kruger earlier this year? Now they NEED to offload him?
Seems like bad asset management to me.
The Breadman has agreed to an extension with the Hawks. Terms not released yet.

I'm hearing 2 years at 6 mil.
Surprised he took a bridge deal.

Not bad $ for a near PPG rookie last year and continuing so far this season as well.

I am nothing short of thrilled by this news... However, I still think we should have given him 6 x 6 the second he asked for it. His next contract will be quite expensive I think.

No issue with this. Panarin has done more than enough.

Contract is a great one for the Hawks. My only issue with it is the Capped article for tomorrow based around the Chicago situation was already in, and doesn't have that in it. Ah well. A bit of hindsight will make for an interesting take.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
Super smart move by the Hawks.
1st - Panarin has definitely earned his $6m. Good for him.
2nd - Centers & defense wins championships... let's not forget this. For the Hawks, the term (2yr) has nothing to do with Panarin and everything with needing flexibility to sign quality 2nd-pairing defensemen. Yes, they have Keith/Seabrook locked up... but they aren't going to win another Cup if their D3-D6 are simply guys like TVR/Forsling/Pokka... they need to have money to re-sign a guy like Hjalmarsson or a UFA. NHL teams need 4 solid D to survive 2 months of playoffs.
I actually am impressed by Panarin taking the two years.
He knows he is a good player, he knows he can stay healthy, he knows he'll get his money eventually.
Whether he stays a Hawk or not will be seen.
Win-win contract, IMO.
