R. Strome trade

Hi all

for the second team in sig. Another manager has shown interest in Strome and Nurse. I could use an improvement in C and another LW since the positional changes made by yahoo.

He offered Colborn, Grigorenko, E. Staal and Seabrook for my R. Strome, M. Granlund, Nurse and C. Smith which I declined right away.

From is team I am interested in Scheifele, Turris, S. Reinhart and S. Bennett

Would an offer of Strome + Nurse for Scheifele fair? What about a fair offer for Reinhart?

I lost in the final last season so I plan on competing this year

I feel that Strome and Scheifele will post similar numbers over their careers. Granted, Scheifele is on a much more offensively talented team and will be the #1 center in Winnipeg this year. I think it's a fair offer if you're going for the win this year.

You could try Bjugstad/Granlund + one of Coyle/Lindholm for Reinhart if you think he'll break out this year. Although, since your league counts hits, you might want to keep Coyle.

I doubt you would get him to bite on that offer for Scheifele. There's too much hype on Scheifele today and Strome is coming off a disappointing year. My guess is he's trying to buy low on Strome and won't be looking to part with any of his quality youth for him, especially when you consider the mish-mash of players he's offering for him.

I'd throw that at him for Sam Reinhart and expect it to be declined as well, but at least Nurse makes it closer.

strome should be moving back to C this year by all accounts..... Not sure how often yahoo changes their positions

I don't see Strome having enough value to get someone in the Scheifele/Bennett tier.
I don't see Strome's value going up a huge amount when the season starts either. You either need a bigger extra, or the asking price has to come down a touch.

Scheifele and strome are same teir. I prefer strome over 5 years for points upside. Scheifele this year due to opportunity and great play.

R. Strome is not even remotely close to Scheifele's tier. If I was offered R. Strome+Nurse for my Scheifele I would insta-decline.

I have Scheifele in 3 leagues - if someone offered me that I would have trouble taking any further offers seriously. Strome's value is nowhere near Scheifele and I am not convinced Nurse will be a point producer. Scheifele is poised to become a star player. I've seen (and made) worse trades, though, so if you want to take a shot...

If I'm honest based on his first offer you have no chance of swinging the pendulum your way - all the pieces he is offering have major red flags and he probably knows it

for now Strome is probably being sought out as a buy low so watch out for the great white shark gm's sniffing around.

Strome and Nurse wouldn't return you Scheifele's jock strap. Maybe they are the same tier in some video game, or using some silly advanced statistics, but not even close right now in fantasy hockey.

If you like Reinhart, target him. He's much more attainable.

If you trade Strome now, don't buy stocks. Buy low - sell high. Strome is a perfect buy low candidate. Perhaps only outdone by buying Strome last season when he was sent to the AHL. Hold him, hope he goes on a tear. But then you'll fall in love with him and refuse to trade him. That's how these things usually work.

And no, Strome is not on Scheifele's level. I'm not sure I need to expand on that. Proof is in the pudding. Okay, I expanded.
