Default What is a reasonable return for Kane?

In my keeper league I have Pat Kane and want to sell him now, while his value is as high as ever.

I was think I should get at least a premium forward, a good prospect and a 1st rounder, does that seems enough for you?

You could look at that as a solid return, or you could look to shore up your goaltending/defence. Maybe targeting Karlsson, Holtby or Price would be worthwhile looking into.

Let it be known you are open to moving him and see what kinda offers come in. Have guys play off each other and maximize the return.

I don't think a top prospect, top player AND first rounder is possible, probably two of the three, depending what each them are exactly but see what you can do.

With that said you look very weak on RW if you move him. Just keep that in mind.

    Some very good points here.
Though with regards to the RW, MacKinnon may be able to slip over to RW and fill the hole if he has that positional eligibility in your league.

Post and see what kind of offers you get. As above maybe try and swing a stud goalie, you are definitely weak there, especially if Luongo doesnt start season.

MacKinnon can slide into RW. I'll try to get a G and a D form him, I know G is my weakness, but I thought about grabbing reimer with a pick in my draft.

Reimer is a must with you owning Luongo!

With Kane you might as well swing for the fences. See if you can get McDavid. But definitely post here if you get a solid offer including any elite player.

The best offer I got, and the only serious one.

My Pat Kane for his Philip Forsberg, Valeri Nishuskin and 2017 1st rounder.

Not so sure about this one.....

If it was someone two steps up from Nichu in his place, then it would be close.

Kane's value varies a lot if you are in a salary cap league.

In my salary cap leagues, GM's have been trying to move Kane (cap hit $10.5 million) - and are complaining about not getting good value offers in return.

Kane has averaged roughly a point per game over his career, but tends to miss 5-10 games per year resulting in him scoring 70-80 points. Last year, everything came together and he scored 106 - but everything points to a regression this year.

I think a GM would get a better return in a non-salary cap league as opposed to a salary cap league, but either way, most GM's expectations seem out of whack considering the return.

I sent the dg a counter offer with Teravainen instead of Nishuskin. And my league is not salary cap so kane does have a great value. I know he'll regress, this is why I want to trade him when his value is still inflated...
