Lmao does Therrien have incriminating pictures of Bergevin or something that he's holding over him? I find it hilarious how Therrien is seemingly bulletproof in all of this and every player that seems to "step out of line" ends up in trade talks.

I heard that Beaulieu was seen high-five-ing the same person multiple times in one day and Therrien was afraid he would turn into the next PK Subban...

Beaulieu should know better than to play patty cake in the locker room.

Rumour had for much of last year that there was discussion involving Yakupov and Beaulieu (Yakupov would wind up playing with former junior linemate Galchenyuk). Not sure if that is still on the table as far as rumours go, especially with how Galch broke out in the second half of the year.

Writer of the weekly Top 10 column.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

That would be terrible for the Habs.

Well, at some point, the GM has to adress the coming expansion draft. If he doesn't trade Beaulieu, he'll lose him for absolutely nothing. Since Markov, Petry and Emelin all have no trade clauses, they have to be protected and, barring a serious surprise, they'll protect Weber, which makes 4 d-men, which means they have to go for scenario B where they may protect 8 skaters and 1 G (as opposed to scenario A where a team gets to protect 7 forwards, 3d-men and 1 G). We already have 4 D-men that will be protected, then Pacioretty, Gallagher, Galchenyuk will surely be protected as will Plekanec with his no trade clause, which makes 8 skaters and which leaves Beaulieu (and Radulov if it works out) up for grabs for Vegas.

Of course, he could try and trade one of the d-men he has to protect, but they won't get nearly the same return.

Unless I missed some detail concerning the expansion draft...

Radulov will be UFA next summer, Habs don't have to protect him.

They do if they want to keep his rights...

"The Las Vegas franchise must select a minimum of 20 players who are under contract for the 2017-18 season." (from NHL.com)

Which means they may select at most 10 players who aren't under contract for 2017-18...

Is Beaulieu for RNH enough for the Oilers? Would both teams do it or no

Lost Wages can select Radulov if they want but as an UFA he can sign wherever he wants to, including right back in Montreal if he isn't already in the KHL after lasting only 10 games with the Habs.

Habs would do that in a heartbeat. I wouldn't do it if I'm the Oilers but Chiarelli did trade Hall for Larsson so...

From Montreal's side, sure you take RNH for Beaulieu.
But Mtl has 1.4M$ in cap space.
Beaulieu is signed at 1M and RNH at 6M$.
MB would have to find a way to shed salary to make that work.
Desharnais + Beaulieu vs RNH would work...
