Ghost or Parayko?
League in sig, who would you rather own this year and the next few? Parayko is a free agent in my pool where we will be having a free agent draft in a couple of weeks. GM with first overall when asked what his pick would be worth(he has stated he is targeting CP), he came back that he needs a dman back if he moves his pick, and that gost and kling are the only d of interest from my team. I figured gost for his fa pick plus a high end draft pick in a rookie draft would be fair value trade. He wasn't a fan of that trade and isn't really high on gost, he does have Provorov so he is expecting gost to lose substantial ice time to him this year.

That's a tough one. I am a huge fan of Parayko and what he can do, but I think Ghost's ceiling is higher in points only.

Ghost over Parayko and Provorov won't cut into his PP time much if at all.
Flyers use 1 D on the top unit and the only way Provo gets it is if Ghost is hurt.
Not a knock on Provo, just that Ghost has proved he fits there and I don't believe Provo is as certain to make it as many believe. If he does theyll ease him in though, gotta have a solid D on the 2nd PP right?

In a points only, I don't think this is close. Gostisbehere should beat Parayko by almost 15 points next year.

SG again.... If it was a straight swap then maybe if you don't believe he can keep it up (I do amd still see him at 40-45 next season even if he dips) but adding to it to get CP seems a waste of an additional asset TBH

In multicat (with hits and blocks) I'd want Parayko, but I definitely prefer Ghost in points only leagues.

Another vote for Ghost. Even if Provorov comes up and fills a similar role, Parayko is still playing second fiddle to Shattenkirk (until/unless he gets moved). I think Parayko has a harder time repeating last season's success than Ghost.

in points only leagues, ghost is one of the top dmen out there. provorov will cut into his time, but he'll still get his chances.
and if you're worried about prospects cutting into a player's time, then st. louis has jake walman and jordan schmaltz coming up in the next year or two, who are both offensive dmen (although nowhere near provorov's level). plus, pietrangelo is there already.
