This coming year he could be a top 9 guys and score 35pts, anything more than 45 in the next 3 years though would be unexpected IMO.
I am considering trading for Connor Brown but I have mixed feelings about his outlook in the NHL.
What are some of your thoughts on him? Will he be 30-40 point player, 40-50 point player and a PP specialist? Or will he end up being a solid depth two way winger relegated to somewhere in the top nine?
Thoughts?

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
To me the key is what you would be giving up to get him. He's high risk, high reward but I wouldn't want to give an established roster player for him.

He wants Mantha for him. The only reason I'm considering it is becaue I don't have a Leaf on my team (for good reason) but with this new rebuild (Leafs) I was thinking it might be good to have a part of it with a PP specialist who will play with all the skilled guys on the team. But I am reserved on the deal, simply because it's Mantha that he wants.
Mantha > Brown. Not even close.

I love Connor Brown. I think he's a fantastic prospect that is just going to continue to outshine his 7th round draft position (the Otters won 13 games in his draft year). He's also going to outperform in the NHL a lot of projections people have for him. Like he did with the Marlies, he'll carve out a top 6 role for himself in the next couple years. He's going to give Babcock little choice but to put him there. In three years I can see him consistently being a 50+pt player.
I asked for him as an add on in my trade of Stamkos for Giroux. I would trade Brown for Mantha in a heartbeat. Mantha has 30 goal potential in the NHL. He should be a beast around the net for the next 12 years. That owner needs to drop his price tag on Brown.
My suggestion, if Brown doesn't make the Leafs out of camp - low ball him about a week later. He may be down on him and be willing to give him away. I'm not sure Brown will make the team in Oct just due to sheer numbers.

Agree with Daoust here. Infact, I like his advice aswell as Lucafen4. Wait to see if Brown's value depreciates (should he not crack the squad) and pitch something less valuable than Mantha. And in the mean time, See what kind of D depth you could snag now in exchange for Mantha. Could end up being a win/win for you long term.
Agree with the suggestions coming out of Lucafen4 and Daoust's camp.
Do a wait and see on Brown and if his value drops after training camp, come in a bit lower than Mantha on an offer. But in the meant time, see what kind of D depth you could net with Mantha who should very well be a force in the NHL 2 - 3 years down the road as the old timers continue to vacate roster spots.
Appreciate the feedback. Gave me some food for thought.
