That knee injury he had was very serious(full tear in ACL), heard some people doubting whether he could ever play again at the NHL level, considering he was never known for his speed and quickness to begin with, and hes always had injury issues.Originally Posted by ericdaoust

Yeah, it's tough for him to show he's ready and teams were probably weary of having him as an anchor all season. PTO isn't too surprising, but could play out well for both sides (value for Tbay, and if he carves out a role then he can parlay it into a 2-3 year deal next year.

He will sign a contract with a more desperate team for RHD at the end of training camp. Ala Stempniak tryout with Boston last year, and signs with Devils.

he may be on a PTO here but I agree with Glorybe - I am not sure how they have the room to sign him as they are already pretty tight whilst still trying to get NEsterov and Kucherov signed.... Trade rumours have quietened down but even at league minimum they can't fit him without a move elswhere

Wiz is being brought in for one thing... the power play. Hedman gets so little time on the PP now, that Wisnewski would probably take what little he gets. I can't figure it out why Hedman gets so little, but there it is.
