What is your starting rosters, How many of each position does a team have.
I am usually a points only guy, but I now have taken over my first ever Roto keeper team. Keepers are due on Monday and I could use some help on who to keep.
League Details:
14 Teams
Starting - 4C, 4RW, 4LW, 6D, 2G, 2Skt,
Keep 1C, 1RW, 1LW, 2D, 1G, 4Util, 10 Prospects(165skater, 60goalie)
Cats: G, A, SOG, BLK, Hit, FOW, PIM, Pt-D, STG, W, GAA, SV%
Here's what I'm thinking, please tell me what I should be changing.
C: Kopitar
LW: Hall
RW: Hornqvist
D: Letang, Krug
G: Bobrovsky
UT: Marchand(LW), Okposo(RW), Stone(RW), Mason
EXTRA OPTIONS: Spezza(C), O'Reilly(C), E.Lindholm(C,RW), Chara, Markov
Farm: Gaudreau, Gositisbehere, Pastrnak, Zacha, Goldobin, Domingue, Forsberg(G), Kamenev, Bjorkstrand, Erne
EXTRA OPTIONS: Tolchinsky, Brossoit
I have the #2 pick in the draft, so that's nice
It sounds like goalies are held onto tightly from looking around the league and I don't really want to keep both of mine.... because they suck. Leaving Spezza and O'Reilly off of my keepers hurts, but I think my wingers are worth more. My only worry is that O'Reilly seems to be really valuable for FOW, and Spezza was strong last year in G and SOG. I could drop a goalie for one of them if I had to, but then I'm having to use a fairly high pick on a goalie.
This is Johnny's last summer on the farm before I'd have to use a keeper slot on him. Ghost can still sit on the farm for one more summer.
Any thoughts, suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I would keep O'Reilly over Mason. I think O'Reilly is good for 60-65 points, 1000+ faceoff wins, and 50+ blocks.
Also, I might even consider Mason over Bobrovsky - I don't trust either but I'd bet on Mason getting more games.

Another vote for Mason.
Bob is a mess right now. Huge injury risk and I do not want any part of TORTs either!
Mason has put together some decent numbers the last two years and should get 55 starts.
Just forget that Philly is "ghkoalie Hkell" like Mr Universe said.

O'Reilly is definitely a keeper for me in this league.
I don't know what kind of goalies will be dropped in your league, but your goaltending situation needs to upgrade, so if there will be a starting quality goaltender in your draft you need to use a high pick for him (im my mind).
With those categories, I keep ROR over one of your goalies. It's a coin toss, but I'd probably close my eyes, hold my breath, and keep Bob. And if you go with the keepers you have, I hope you have put ROR, Stone and Marchand on your trading block. I think you could probably get a pick for one of them from someone. If you get a pick for ROR, you are better off. And if you get a pick for one of your wingers, you can move ROR into your keeper list.
Needless to say, I'd work on that goaltending. I might target the Karpisalso owner; he'd look very good on your farm if you keep Bob...
PS: given how weak your goaltending is, I'd keep Brossoit. I think he can be a back up soon in an up-and-coming Edmonton team. I'd drop one of Kamenev or Erne and keep Brossoit.
From what I can guess from what the other teams should keep, Ward, Smith, Niemi, and Pavelec are the only goalies that will probably be available. So whoever I drop is probably the best Goalie in the draft. So do I drop Stone, Okposo, or Hornqvist Instead?
One other wrinkle is that I was offered there today.
My Bob and a 6th round, for Rinne.
My O'Reilly, for Craig Anderson.
From what I can see, going into the draft without Goalies could be a problem. Or I run with one goalie and a platoon of garbage (Howard, Ward, Smith....)

I would take the Rinne deal. But decline the Craig Anderson offer.
I'd probably drop Hornqvist and find hits somewhere else.
