After taking a close look, I have determined that ESPN has not updated the positions for any player for the new season after the maintenance. They have just removed all secondary eligibility and left the primary position as set last season. Everyone who uses ESPN needs to get started with a relentless twitter and email harassment campaign to force them into action. This is the only effective means of shaming them into actually doing their job and providing accurate positions for their customers. It is an annual Sisyphusian rite that we must unfortunately endure.

In July? Really? 2 months before the regular season starts? This happens every year across multiple sites.

I've seen Fantrax assign some pretty stupid primary positions and some ridiculous multi-positions too. It's silly to pretend like Fantrax is the be all end all when they make similar mistakes. Also, lots of people don't want to pay for their host provider when there are so many free options.

They also do this every year. They'll probably shut down for a couple days in another week and update positions.That's how their platform has worked every year. And again, lets stop pretending like this is an ESPN exclusive issue. There's also an interesting take on the word "customer", as you aren't paying for anything, so there is no real duty to a "customer". You're a user of a free service provided, just like the ramblings on this site. Dobber has an obligation to the purchasers of the guides to provide a quality product, that obligation does not extend to the free services he offers on this site.

This is true, but regardless - with Fantrax there is nothing that you can't do. Everything is flexible, every league type is accommodated for. Zero complaints and no waiting. It's a no-brainer.
