Yahoo fantasy hockey to open...same as last year

correct me if im wrong, they only shut it down for the offseason reset of sorts only a couple weeks ago. If its ready to go again some time next week, colour me thrilled.

Someone on the Yahoo hockey message boards (TJ Ritter), who apparently has some limited insider information (debatable, but think he has been correct on things at times), said he heard the 25th or 26th (or thereabouts). I'll bug him closer to the time if the 20th/21st doesn't happen.

Yeah it was shut down really late. I hope they made some money by keeping it open, because I like to double check positional eligibilities during the summer.

yeah, i use it so i can filter through stats with my league's settings since every league is a bit different.

can figure out who might be undervalued and which players might be not kept from each team among other things.

I wonder if Yahoo is actually going to follow through with their advertised features this year?

Last season, they advertised the ability to have a two week championship matchup in h2h playoffs, and sometime around xmas time I had them confirm that it would be made available....

It wasn't. They've since stopped replying about the issue. Very disappointing.

It could be today actually. It looks like something's happening - When you go to the Yahoo Hockey fantasy, your teams/leagues from the 2015-16 season are no longer there. I remember this happening last year too (and the year before), just before they opened for new season... and if I'm not mistaken, it was on Thursdays... fingers crossed.

It would be nice if it's today. My leagues still show up, though, but it's possible that is random to different people.

I don't have much hope in Yahoo.....but I guess I;m the dummy because I still use it for everything.

I wanted to move to Fantrax years ago, but the rest of the league is too lazy, "we're used to Yahoo by now" and stuff like that

I'll admit. I've always been a yahoo guy, and there's a lot of functions with Fantrax that annoy me, but after being in a Fantrax baseball and hockey league, both with minor systems, for the past couple of years, it is much more convenient having them available at all times. Unless yahoo makes some changes to catch up, I would recommend the switch.
