Rask or Schneider?

Who would you rather own in a keeper league with Wins, Saves, GAA and save %

Right now I own Rask in a start 2 goalie keeper league, but we are only allowed to keep 1 goalie, Brian Elliott is my other so im dropping him for sure. One guy in my league owns Price and Schneider so he most likely drops Schneider. Should I consider trading for Schneider and dropping Rask?

Goalies will go fast in this league and I don't own a 1st round pick, so I won't get a top dropped goalie(14 team league).

Possible keepers for me that I could offer for Schneider would be Keith, Weber, Ristolainen, Letang, Perry, Simmonds. I don't have his team available at the moment so not sure if he needs any of those players.

so in short would you do that if you were in my shoes or even if you were in the other guys shoes?

I like Schneider more than Rask, but I don't think the difference is large enough to give up an asset to get Schneider.

I'd keep Rask instead of dropping him, and then having to trade away another keeper to get Schneider. It's like losing two very good assets to just get one.

Agree with the others. Hold what you have for now. Maybe once Schneider is drafted then you can see if a 1 for 1 swap would tempt the new Schneider owner.

WHOA! Hold up! Correct me if I am wrong... the advice given in these forum about limited keeper leagues is to always upgrade your keepers in 2-1 trades if possible.

The way I understood the deal, is he would have to part with two keeper level players, to go from Rask to Schneider, which is a very incremental upgrade.

As said above I'd rather schneider since his peripherals are always amongst the league leaders even while playing for what was a weaker team...but NJ should have more offensive punch now which bodes well for him. Boston's D core sketches me a little. But as said above:If you have to virtually lose 2 keepers (dropping rask and trading another player to get schneider) then I'd prob stand pat and hope chara and company can hold down the fort

The question that we need to ask the OP is who is the next best player(s) on your team that would not be keeper.

If that was the case then yes I would think it worth pursuing.

I agree with this. While Schneider is better in my opinion, he is not THAT much better with the league stats to justify giving up another asset to upgrade.
