    Default Fulmer for Tulowitzki

After numerous back and forth, I've been offered Sonny Gray and Brandon Crawford for my Christian Yelich and Hisashi Iwakuma. Since I haven't activated Miguel Sano from the DL, I would need to drop a player to make this deal happen. That player would probably be Jurickson Profar, who I'd be replacing with Crawford. Not sure if I should accept this deal. Is Gray going to turn it around in the second half? Is Yelich too much to give up?

My team and league settings are below. 10 team league, 2 keepers per team.

I would be sticking with Yelich for now. Having to drop Profar to make the deal work is just an added no. Gray can't seem to find any consistency, and pitchers are much more easily replaced. Yelich is easily the best player in this deal so far this season, and I don't see that changing too much.

Thanks for your quick reply Eskimo Bro. He also has Tulowitzki as a shortstop, which is the position that I want to upgrade. Do you think this deal makes sense if I up the stakes and asked for Tulo instead of Crawford? I know Tulo has struggled this season and spent time on the DL, but I'm thinking he has a bit more upside than Crawford.

Tulo is starting to heat up (the HR on his bobble head day is a nice touch) so I think that would be a nice upgrade. See what he thinks of adding Tulo instead and how much more it would cost you.

Hahaha he just rejected that deal, offering up Crawford for Michael Fulmer. No way I take that deal. Fulmer is pitching lights out right now. Really debating a Fulmer for Tulo swap here, but I'm reluctant to part with Fulmer.

Depends how much you feel you want a SS upgrade, and if you have enough SP on your team or in the FAs to make the swap.

I turned down his proposed Crawford trade and didn't send him a Tulo counteroffer. Tulo might have a strong second half, but I'm not prepared to give up Fulmer. Thanks again for your insight EB.

    No problem.
Also looking at your roster, that's tough in a keep 2 to lose one of your guys for the season!

Yeah, losing Pollock was quite a blow. But I think OF is one of my strengths now. Ozuna, Bruce, and Blackmon were all waiver pickups.

How did you get all of them on waivers?!

Blackmon was dropped early in the season when he was on the DL.

I picked up Ozuna as a short term add and hung onto him just as he got hot.

I added Bruce then dropped him and added him again when I saw him get hot.

It's a 10 team league, plus maybe not the most active one around save for a few owners.

Fair enough. Definitely gives you an added advantage on the WW then. Hopefully Fulmer works out for you.

Well, Tulo keeps raking. A 3 run home run today. So I'm offering him Fulmer and we'll see what happens. I have a feeling he'll turn it down and try to offer me something one-sided in his favor, as he tends to do with his trade offers.

Unfortunate that managers have to do that.
I almost don't want you to trade for Tulo, because if you get him he will slow down (Murphy's law) and the Jays need him.
Hopefully it all works out though!

This is hilarious. He rejected the Tulo/Fulmer deal immediately, then offered me Crawford for Iwakuma - the same deal he turned down a few days ago! I love negotiation. Accepting that deal.
