It could be his attitude alone, or it could be that he didn't mesh with the room in Vancouver. It can't be an easy going atmosphere there at the moment.

I'm going to reserve judgement here until we see him on the ice in Florida, and how he meshes there.

Lots of 19 year olds have maturity issues. I'm not surprised to read this about such a young player. I hope this isn't the reason they shipped him out.

I think people forget this a lot. It's pretty unrealistic to expect every teenager and young player to act like Connor McDavid. I think people need to remember that most of these kids are growing up still and they can still learn and grow in maturity.

People that are giving him a pass because of age are just making the typical excuses made in society to explain certain behaviour nowadays. I know everyone's different but my first job when I was 18 I never bitched or complained just elbows and asses working hard everyday. The kids making unreal money playing in the NHL in a beautiful city. Suck it up. The Sedins were even complaining about an attitude issue in the dressing room and their one of the most humble people around.

To tell you the truth the on ice, at work stuff I don't get. However the off ice stuff where they screw up at a club or a casino etc, I understand because how young and rich these kids are but at work its time to put on your big boy pants.

Attitudes are an issue with people, and a losing environment can be toxic. Just because one person thinks an 18yrs old working at a job where millions of people don’t dissect everything you do shouldn’t pout doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

Totally agree buddy - 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 year old doesn't matter a bit, there's no excuse for having a sh*tty attitude. You've got the blessing that plenty of people would go nuts for and its not good enough for you? If you've got a bad attitude about it, that's because you were raised a spoiled brat who automatically got everything you wanted. I think we SHOULD be expecting more of these kids to act like Connor McDavid does, whether you stutter in your words, or botch an interview whatever, but having a bad attitude on the team and in the room isn't okay, and they don't have that right.

Agree it happens. It happens in my work place as well. I was stating that he shouldn't get a pass because of it. If its to the point where ex teammates are calling him out on it, then it must of been pretty bad. How many players in all of the NHL actually get exposed publicly for their attitudes? Not alot.

True, however let's not forget that these are not your typical teenagers. These are professional hockey players, and the team is investing millions of dollars in salary and development for them.
