Default [Drafted] - Red Wings take 3 Swedes late - Malmstrom, Larsson, Elfstrom

I know nothing about these players. But I always file the names away when the Wings grab a Swede in a later round. I don't think anything has come of this since Nyquist was taken 121st (off the top of my head?) but it's a habit I've grown accustomed to.

Alfons Malmstrom is a D taken 107th overall. He hasn't shown much in the Swe Jr. League from what I can dig up. Anyone have more on him?

Filip Larsson is a G taken 167th overall. He's 6-2 and still only 17 years old, so I'm sure he gets to 6-3 or maybe even 6-4. They obviously took a flier here, his numbers were not great (to put it nicely). Any thoughts?

Mattias Elfstrom is LW taken from the same league (Swe Jr.). He's big, seems productive, but is an older player at 19. Saw a bit of SHL time, so I'd like to see big strides in the season ahead before putting him on my radar. Any more to add?

Did some of my own digging right now, but I do like the Swede theory from the Wings.

Malmstrom seems like a bit of a reach in the fourth round.
Larsson I agree doesn't have great numbers, but they could have seen something they liked in the his style. Goalies develop in funny ways. I will never question a late round flier on a goalie.
Elfstrom gets some praise both for his foot speed and his shot. Sounds to me a little like a swedish Pulkkinnen. They like his big body too, and he actually uses it to his advantage.

Well according to Winging It in Motown, they don't know much about Malmstrom either except that he is a "Hakan Andersson pick".

107th overall - Alfons Malmstrom, defenseman
Admittedly, I have no idea about this guy. I tried to do some digging to get information or scouting notes on him, but I came up empty-handed. This is a Hakan Andersson pick, so, seeing that we know nothing about him, he’s probably a future all-star.

And then some more interesting notes after they spoke with Andersson about the picks Malmstrom and Elfstrom :

From what Hakan Andersson told me, he was pushing for Elfstrom to be drafted earlier than he was - "[Tyler Wright] kept saying to me, ‘do you think we can play the draft a little bit? Do a lot of people know about him?’ and I had to admit, no they don’t, but when you like someone you need to grab them, but this worked out great for us."
