The Oilers need a star NHL denfenseman more than a pair of under 20 forwards.

As long as McDavid is there, Draisaitl will be a #2C. No guarantees with the pick. Subban is a legit #1D. Those are hard to come by.

The only catch here is the salary difference. The Oilers are no doubt trying to figure out how to get RNH in there more than Draisaitl because of the salaries involved. That's a pile of cap to bring in for a kid still on his ELC and a pick.

I'm with Axe here - the Oil need to pull the trigger if that's the offer. I don't understand why the Habs would do it, though. Sure, they'll get Draisaitl and Dubois, and can pick up a good d-man at #9, but that leaves a gaping hole on the blueline.

Yes this just was announced on 690 montreal - although from GL, they say that it with a grain of salt.

Ferraro has the chances of PK being dealt @ over 50%. McKenzie and Lebrun both confirm that Bergevin has been taking calls on PK today.

I interested to see the fallout after the 4th pick if this deal goes down. The Habs would most likely select Dubois.

From everything I'm hearing here in Vancouver, the Canucks aren't that high on Tkachuk and like Juolevi ahead of him. Would they then move down a few spots?
