Biggest surprises for me in your draft Axe were the falling of Bean, McAvoy and Pu. Looks like a pretty knowledgeable group however. Thanks for posting this!

The two D slipping a bit doesn't surprise me. D normally slip in fantasy drafts. I was surprised I got Fabbro at 29 but I was more than happy to take him there.

Completely understandable. Bean at least I would have thought would be a little higher being one of the more offensively inclined, but you're right, they will fall in fantasy drafts.
As for Fabbro, he will likely be in that later half/third of the first round, but at 29 he is a great pick.

That's my top 7 list, although I keep flipping 4 and 5, as well as 6 and 7.

Juolevi and Bean dropped a little further than I'd expect.

Interesting to see Fabbro go ahead of Sergachev. Actually, surprised he was the last of the big three D to go as well.

I actually picked him there. I for one am not high on Serg after watching him play quite often this year. Would have waited but felt there may be a D run so I nabbed the guy I really wanted. Fabbro gets knocked because of the BCHLL but he was outstanding at the U18s this year I thought. Hoping it translates to the next level. He was also my 4th of 7 picks in the 1st round.

Yeah I would have loved to get him there because 29 is complete robbery...but I knew he wouldn't slip that far. Like I said, I had 7 picks in the first round so I could afford to "reach" for guys I really wanted.

Wow Mikey McLeod at #7. That's a stretch. Don't get me wrong, I'm very high on him and I think he's going to be excellent in the NHL. But this is a guy who OTT could have traded down and got an additional piece(s). Borgstrom at 16 is also surprisingly a little high. Figure mid 20s a best. Interesting take from your league.
