    Default New Electronic Music

Recently I've been getting back into my old electronic music (90s mainly) and been wondering a bit about the current scene (say in the last five years or so). Because of this, I figure why not check with the Dobber community if anyone has similar tastes!

My interests were varied, including lesser known DJs and more popular ones such as Frankie Bones, Carl Cox and DJ Micro, to more mainstream artists such as Underworld and The Chemical Brothers. In the 00s I got into a bit more drum 'n bass (e.g. old Pendulum, compilations etc.) but nothing much recently.

Focusing more on the DJs, including the lesser knowns, do you have any recommendations? Generally speaking, I prefer harder to softer, but will consider anything original with energy. I know it's a vague request but hoping to start somewhere!

I recommend Death From Above 1979. Album: Romance Bloody Romance & B Sides
Easy to pull up on Spotify (or any other streaming service for that matter). I wouldn't classify the band as electronic, but the remix album has more of electronic feel to it. but I think you'd really like it!

Honestly the scene is huge now. Guys like Carl Cox are still around, but there's been a huge influx of artists.

Honeslty what I would do is search "EDC 2016 Lineup", start at the top of the list and check out mixes on each artists soundcloud or spotify.

Also the Sally regular version is good too, just slower. The frontliner one is so quick it makes me go from calm to “LETS DO SOMETHING” in a heartbeat.
