Hornqvist is what he is. If age starts catching up to Jagr he should still be able to match Hornqvist.
I need to keep one of these 2 forwards in my keeper league. I will be competive next year again and need to keep only of of them. In a perspective of one year only, where we count only points, who you think will generate more points in 2016-17 with is team?
Thanks

I like Hornqvist. He's younger, on the top line with Crosby, and on the top PP. Jagr did have 15 more pts this year than Hornqvist, but I think that would be much closer if the Pens didn't start so slow and Hornqvist wasn't bumped down the line up for a decent period of time.
As ageless as Jagr is, I think I would take the 15 year gap here (29 to 44).

Hornqvist for sure, Jagr too risky, Hornqvist higher upside

I like Hornqvist as well. He's the better own at this point, and definitely will have the better trade value if you end up needing to include someone else in a swap.

Another vote for Hornqvist. He had 35 points in the final 42 games of the regular season (aka the non Mike Johnson era). Like most of the Penguins, they were night and day once Sullivan was hired and I think the whole team, Hornqvist included, has a much better campaign next year. Plus he plays on the top PP, and with Kessel staring to show he's settling in with the pens, they could be an even more lethal unit next year.

Jagr could easily out point him next season but in a keeper league I would take Hornquist. As a jagr owner I would move him in a second for hornquist

If this was a one year league, than I would take the slight gamble on Jagr. But because this is a keeper, I'd be more likely to take Hornqvist.

Horn > Jagr for me. Jagr is like that sweet Mustang you scored back when you were 16 and newly licensed. but now, 25 years later, still behind the wheel of that very same beast, it's seen a ton of mileage and, while still sounds good hammering that muffler, at any given time he could blow a gasket (and they don't make parts for him anymore).
I'm not interested in the risk of losing my "mustang" and being forced to drive one of them Scooters that so many Old, Overweight and/or suspended licensed drivers tote around in while I scowering Auto Trader for a suitable replacement mid season.
