    Default Johnson or Pacioretty?

For the scoring set up in my signature, which guy do you prefer? I see them as both around 65ish point guys. Pacioretty is a SOG monster, and a little more goal heavy. But I'm concerned that the Canadiens as a team are trending in the wrong direction, while the Lightning are a much better team.

Even though Stamkos is likely moving on.....gotta go Max here. Goals are worth more than assists is what does it for me,

Patches for me as well. Ceiling is close, but Max has hit his on a bad team, with room to improve, whereas Ty Jo has done it on a good team along with Kuch and Palat. The peripheral points also lean towards Patches.

I also like Pac for the reasons listed above. Also because 65 points at LW is more valuable than 65 points at C. Even more so for you because it looks like you have more centers than left wings.

Will be interesting to see if this is still the case after next season - TyJo has had a down year (numerous injuries being cited) but I think he will actually have a pretty big year but righ now I agree with the positional variance to give Pac the edge

The Habs are not trending in the wrong direction offensively they finally have a potential number one center. I'd go with MaxPac.

I would rather own Pacioretty with your statistical categories and because he can slot in as a LW!!

Goal heavy favors Patches....look for a rebound next year and for him to push 40. I wouldn't worry about their respective teams, star players are going to get your points regardless.

Patches for me also. Love him in a goal heavy, SOG format. I see a rebound for him next year too....hopefully a plus/minus improvement as well. That hurt me this past season in the one league I had him in.

Pacioretty is a beast in this format.

Thanks everyone, I've Rep'ed where I could! Great points about position eligibility and how Patches is a better fit in my league's scoring format. I was working on a deal for Johnson, but the other GM threw Patches name out there, and knew the Dobber community would help me figure out which guy to target. I'm sure I'll be back for thoughts on a couple trade options soon!
