    Default J.Toews/S.Bennett/K.Turris <> A.Panarin/K.Connor

I continue to search for ways to cut salary. I currently only have 2.0M and 3 spots left to fill; I'm also 3 over on my farm, so if I can't clear cap space, I have to move 3 farm guys. League/team in sig (70M cap). What do you think of this deal?

    Toews 4.5M x 3 yrs
    S.Bennett (farm) but 2.0 x 3 when graduated
    Turris 2.5M x 5 yrs

    for

    Panarin 1.0M x 2 yrs
    K.Connor (farm) but 1.5 x 3 when graduated

It's basically Toews for Panarin and Bennett for Connor, with Turris a dead loss (basically the cost of cutting salary; I don't think I can afford to keep him anyway). But saving 3.5M swapping Toews/Panarin on top of my 2.0M, gives me 5.5M, so I can promote McDavid (2.0M), Hamilton (2.0M) and Schwartz (1.5M) and get down to 20 on my farm.

    Thoughts??

You never want to have to move good players because of salaries, but if you have to do it, then this is a solid enough deal to do it with. You have a stacked core that you want to keep together, and the deal you have there really helps.

If it gets you under the cap, and solves your farm issue then you gotta do it. Not a great deal, but not bad either.

Agreed with the above gents. This is a good deal to help with the cap situation. That was my first impression and I would make the move as well.
