    Default Too much for Seguin?

I've been trying to trade for Seguin for a while now since he is my favorite player and thus i wouldn't mind overpaying slightly. Apparently the Seguin owner wants one of my top 2 Picks (Matthews, Laine) plus Tyler Johnson and a pickupgrade in the 2nd Round of our Prospect Draft.

Is this too much to give up? Is it overpaying or do some of you feel that it is fair value?

It is for a 14 Team Full Keeper Dynasty League

Many Thanks for helping me out here Gentlemen

Laine + TyJo + a 2nd rounder upgrade is not too much to pay for your favourite star player.

Sounds good to me. 14 team league - you take the best player available and right now that is Seguin.

You also still have your other top 2 pick correct? Sounds like you have 1 & 2 in the entry draft?

Upgrade to an established scorer AND you still get Matthews.

Funny - i own Seguin and in my league the return i was asking was Johnson, 2nd overall and 5th overall to start negotiations, but that was asking way to much since negotiations broke up immediately. Apparently some GM's feel this is a huge overpayment. Johnson + 2nd overall alone wouldn't do it for me

You have your answer right there. I think long term you will look back and maybe regret this deal. I know the Laine hype is crazy. I just acquired Gaudreau for him, but the kid has a special shot. And that shot alone is what makes him a huge fantasy asset going forward.

Seguin side wins here big time. Perfect example of proven vs potential. It still applies with this year's top picks.

The asking price has changed, now the Seguin owner wants R. Johansen, Seth Jones, D. Strome and the 7th Overall Pick. What do you think about that???

The original offer was an auto-accept for me.

The counter-offer is likely a pass.

Hard to say for sure as the trade is not for the team in your signature. I have no idea if you are in win now or what....
