Ugh... "MasterCard"
- I said... "God damn this tablet is heavy!"
For you guys who haven't been able to watch London play this year, keep an eye out for #63, Cliff Pu (draft eligible this year). His stats don't jump off the page but he is the #2 C in London, and plays the strongest two way game on the entire team. Hard, hard worker, great speed and size and excellent in the faceoff dots. He gets overlooked quite often being on London with Marner, Tkachuk & Dvorak. He's a lot like Cole Cassels but with size and more physical. He'll go 2nd round in the NHL draft this summer but will be a great shutdown C at the next level (not much fantasy impact but looking at NHL impact).
I'm really excited to see Patrick & Matheos (moreso Patrick) play for Brandon. Patrick should no doubt go #1 next year based off everything I heard if he continues Liljegren. But being in Ontario, I haven't been able to see him play .
Pretty dominant performance by London in the opener-
London vs Red Deer- On Friday, they exploded for six in one game, defeating the host Red Deer Rebels behind standout efforts from Mitch Marner and Christian Dvorak.
Marner’s five points were one shy of tying a MasterCard Memorial Cup record. The Toronto Maple Leafs prospect had a pair of goals and three assists while Dvorak had two goals and two helpers in a 6-2 Knights victory.
“I thought we weathered the storm out of the gate,” said Marner post-game. “The first 10 minutes weren’t the way we wanted to play but after that I think we really got into the game.”
The trio of Marner, Dvorak and Tkachuk connected for a combined 10 points on the night, further solidifying the reputation of what many consider to be the most dominant line in the Canadian Hockey League this season.
Anyone got any links to a decent stream please?
Timo time!

Beautiful game all around. RN fans surrounded us, never missed a cheer, properly shrouded rheir beasts, leaving it wide open for their Knight g-time. Money is is on the underdogs by nearly 2 inches. Playoff hockey is about 60 minutes of the best play. Fleary should have finished his game plan last night. Now he has to the work of 5 of the RD Rebels best.

What?!
En francais. Finish your statement! Hayden looked alone for most of the game and when he had the chance to amplify he quit half way. RN game against the Rebels should be all along the boards because the Rebels will not play down the middle.
He will not make the same mistake at NHL level. And that is why I will draft him, he stands out but not last night.
Huskies got the size to win big. I think the middle will be hard fought ice to be juggled with 3 simple passes. Maybe one. Never 3. So around the boards they will play.
My 2 cents.

Alright. I am biased as I knew I would be here for the Cup so loaded that bandwagon. Fleury was the great white hope that would have stonewalled any type of big offense. He has significant support though I gambled the Nicolishin would have fired up and he was invisible. Meanwhile Philp played 60 minutes while everybody had significant nervousness that looked candyass to all that shared at beer time and nobody held back to condemn the lack of juice. Highlight point was Fleury indicating his ownwership of the ice by knocking off the helmet of his first challenger and stopping there. From there it became simple with London setting up a simple play that executes a 3 point shot on net, over and over again.
Now, speed is awesome but size takes control. Rebels did not use it. Huskies have it and some. Not afraid of the boards. The extra size will do plenty against the Knights. The Knights were the team to beat. I was hoping that the Rebels would have surprised. The Huskies raised the bar. If they play the boards and take the middle away from the Knights, the extra size will get them that extra goal.
Sorry for confusion. Beer and bias starts more discussions than ends them.

Nobody likes divers. The Huskies idea of board play was to wait for contact then fall over.
