Default Which Prospects of Mine have a shot at NHL next year?

    Hey everyone,

Just wanted to get you to have a look at my prospects to see who you think will get a look at the NHL next year, either full time or part time, and could potentially have a fantasy impact. I landed the 2nd overall pick so I will likely be adding Laine to the mix as well. It is a full keeper based on AAV. I have some decisions to make on who to let go or promote to my roster. Thanks in advance for any insight

    Mikko Rantanen
    Travis Konecny
    Brayden Point
    Kasperi Kapanen
    Adrian Kempe
    Oliver Bjorkstrand
    Jakub Vrana
    Anthony Mantha

    Julius Honka
    Derrick Pouliot
    Jakub Zboril
    Jordan Schmaltz

A legit shot at the NHL next year? My best guesses are in bold. That doesn't mean a couple others may not get a sniff but these are the ones I see with the best chance of actually producing at some level in the NHL next season.

    Mikko Rantanen
    Travis Konecny
    Brayden Point
    Kasperi Kapanen
    Adrian Kempe
    Oliver Bjorkstrand
    Jakub Vrana
    Anthony Mantha

    Julius Honka
    Derrick Pouliot
    Jakub Zboril
    Jordan Schmaltz

FWIW, I think they all have NHL potential and are all very good prospects.
10 Team, Points Only, Cash League

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink

    G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger

Mikko Rantanen (great AHL season, Avs could use the help up front if they lose guys like Boedker and maybe Tanguay)
Kasperi Kapanen (cups of tea here and there, will be part of the rebuild as soon as next year IMO)
Oliver Bjorkstrand (played well in limited time this year, should see full-time action next year)
Anthony Mantha (same as above, but less likely to be a full-timer)

Julius Honka (Stars may lose Goli this year, Lindell and Honka may be the front runners to replace him)
Derrick Pouliot (Pens have used him this year and with already 2 part-seasons under his belt, he's bound for more next year)

    These would be my 6
Keeper league 14 teams (H2H, 20 active players keep 16 NHLers, 16 minors)
    Scoring Cats: G-A-PTS-PPG-PPA-(+/-)-HITS-BLK-SHP-SOG-FOW-GWG / W-L-SVS-SV%-GAA-SO

W- Forsberg, Batherson, Nichuskin, Tuch, Konecny, Maccelli, Sharangovich, Bertuzzi, Kaliyev, Neighbours, Reichel
    D- Carlson, Rielly, Klingberg
    G- Hellebuyck, Demko, Merzlikins, Vejmelka

    Minors:
F: Fantilli, Cooley, Bourgault, Perreault, Cowan, Ohgren, N. Foote, Goyette, Iskhakov, Denisenko, Tracey
    D: Simashev, Willander, Lambos

I'm basically in agreeance with Axe's list, but will add that I could very easily see Vrana being in the NHL too.

Thank you to everyone for your insight on my prospects. I like my group going forward. They do not all need to be ready at the same time. This will help me going forward! I have to admit, I find Vrana quite intriguing as an impact prospect down the road, as long as he can stay healthy.

All are pretty solid.. Rantanen, Mantha and Bjorkstrand have the best shot at sticking in the NHL next season..

I agree wit these 6, with the disclaimer that I think only one of Honka/Lindell make the jump. So it's 50/50 on that one.

Thanks again for reinforcing some thoughts of mine. I will likely be forces to drop Coyle for one of these players.

Solid prospects - maybe try a 2-1 trade for a prospect upgrade. Try and maximize your assets.

I like how you separated them into two groups. The second list I can totally see in the NHL, I just don't see them making an impact next year.
