Dman Help!

Hello fellow poolies!
Entering 2nd offseason of a lifetime dynasty league (points only). I'm looking to add 3 defenseman in our upcoming pool entry draft and currently hold picks 9, 20, 31 & 42 out of 44 selections. Just wondering if anyone could pick a top 5 or list their rankings out of the following players available:

Parayko
DeAngelo
Michael Stone
Ekholm
Ceci
Pulock
Severson
Ben Hutton
Colin Miller
Mike Reilly
Orlov
Honka
And also Chychrun, Juolevi, and all the prospects entering the NHL draft this summer. The Ghost is still an available defenseman in my league but I'm all but certain he won't fall to 9th in the draft. Finished 3rd out of 11 teams last season and some better defensemen could really help me out. Any advice is much appreciated!

Welcome to the forum!

I'd probably add DeAngelo first, even though he might not be in the NHL right away. Huge numbers in the OHL, and good (although not as overpowering) numbers in his first AHL season. Failing that, Parayko would probably be your next best option. But if you're in win-now mode, Parayko might be your better option.

The way you've got the rest of them ranked is fine. Michael Stone stands out as the best of the rest of the bunch, particularly in multi-category leagues.

I am a huge fan of Ekholm and think he's one of the most underrated d-men in the league. However, until he isn't stuck behind Weber and Josi, I don't think I could convince myself to pick him over Rielly. Bumping Rielly to 1, and DeAngelo one spot (above Pulock) would be the only changes I would make to Dobber's list.

Rielly - should be Tor future PP anchor
Deangelo - might not be next year but higher upside for pts only
Pulock - esp if Hamonic gets moved
Ceci - play with Karlsson
Hutton - should be Vcr future PP anchor
Ekholm - just don't like his Nash situation
