What does this mean for Kyle Connor?
Post your fantasy questions here.
Can he play either wing? Jets already have Wheeler/Ehlers locked as top 6 wingers, same line. Does Laine split them up, or sticks on the 2nd line?

Kyle Connor is unlikely to make the club and that was the case before Laine was likely to arrive. One more hurdle. A year of pro development would serve him well anyhow.
Laine is going to L2 with Perreault and Little/Scheifele. Big loser here is Stafford.
The question with Laine is where he fits on the PP because Wheeler, Byfuglien and Perreault are all well entrenched. Scheifele and Little will battle for the center spot and Ehlers has often grabbed that fifth spot. Laine might fit better as the fulcrum of PP2.
Does this move the needle at all for the goalies? They're in tough to get wins in that division but this forward group is looking pretty nice depending on how the youngens do.
Probably another year before they really get going but a full year worth of Hellebuyck should make them much more competitive.
Laine and Ehlers are going to be deadly together in a few years. Oh man.

I can't believe this actually happened! I could not be more excited for the draft and next season to start. The future is so bright for this franchise. So many exciting, talented young players. The World Championship should be fun to check out for Jets fans.
I still think Connor makes the team next season. I don't mind at all if he plays for the Moose for a season, or half a season, but I just think they'll bring him right in.
Looks like Laine is a top end PP triggerman, which the Jets have sorely needed. A top six consisting of Wheeler-Scheifele-Ehlers, Connor-Little-Laine should be formidable.
The Jets third line will likely be Connor, Little and Stafford next year (if Laine takes line 2 over Connor). That is a huge upgrade from this past year if everyone is healthy.
As for the PP, I could see Perreault getting bumped here for a couple of slightly more dynamic talents. No matter what happens it will be interesting to see how it shakes out.

Exciting times for Jets fans.
Looks like a solid and young core group.
